| Wow! Yes, I can surely imagine peaceable Frodo getting annoyed with Gimli and Legolas' bickering all the time. I can't stand such behaviour myself, and I live with it every day from three siblings! :-) Great first fanfic! | I really like this! Someone somewhere should write a really long masterpiece story about the friendship between Legolas and Gimli. About first fanfics: I try not to remember mine. Author Reply: Thank you! That "long masterpiece story" probably exists somewhere... or else someone *should* definitely write it! I explored their unlikely friendship a bit in "Leaving Lorien", "Avalanche", and "Whispers of the Dragon", but I'm better with hobbity stories, I'm afraid. | |

| I do indeed remember my first story. The only thing that enabled me to post it was the thought that there was quite a lot of - how shall I put it? - weak fiction on ff.net. My story was at least as good as whatever those deluded but brave authors were posting. Now this, this is a fine first story. It's amusing and engaging and well written.
