Yes, this is the one I remember, the reason why in For Eyes to See as Can Frodo and Bilbo, on the ride to the Havens, sleep beneath a linden tree. This is one of my very favorite stores ever. Thanks again for the link. Author Reply: Awww! This is one of my favorite pieces too! It was one I intended to write but made the mistake of telling the storyline to a very prolific and talented Aratlithiel - who turned around and wrote it! In return for the plot, I insisted she let me beta it (she does not do well with betas - so that was a FEAT) and the end result is, I think, a story neither could have written as well. Thanks!

That was really great how you incorperated the Linden tree into the entire story. That was very nice, and an enjoyable read. Author Reply: Thank you, Miriel! I am a forester so the symbolism has always meant a lot to me. It is a lovely, unique tree and perfectly suited to the Ringbearer.

Oh my gosh. I'm sitting here with tears in my eyes and desperately trying to swallow around the lump in my throat. *sob* That story was simply beautiful. Hauntingly beautiful. I'm speechless and any words I can say, I fear will be inadequate. So I will leave it at that. :) Author Reply: Let me say again how happy I am to have received your comments! I was beginning to think no one at this site would like my work (yes, I know, terribly insecure artist type) and so your sweet words are medicine for a wounded heart. Thank you for them!
