Nicely and delicately done Garnet. Like Larner, I decided to reread the previous stories and am enjoying myself immensely.

I decided to read this preparatory to reading your new story. You can't know how happy I've been to see your name come up again! That Pippin should have sympathy morning sickness is so right!

Lovely!

I enjoyed this very much. I think you handled the delicate matter brilliantly. Nicely written tale!

Author Reply: Thank you. I'm glad you enjoyed it. Also I'm glad to see people reviewing older stories. :)

What a charming and entertaining story! A very interesting theory about why Pippin and Diamond only had one son. Bravo!

Author Reply: Wow! I didn't even know people were still reading my stories.:)

Thank you so much for reading and reviewing. Glad you enjoyed the story and glad the theory was interesting to you.

Wonderfully written Garnet!! You have it so right that it was always assumed to be the wife who was infertile back then. I'm glad Strider was an informed healer.

MEWD!!

Hooray! And Merry WOULD tease like that!

Sympathetic pregnancy symptoms--have seen them in a friend. Yes, unusual but definitely heard of!

Lovely, Garnet!

Author Reply: Yay! Yes, Merry would have to tease. You know he had to be happy for them, and, for him, what better way to show it.

I'm glad you liked the sympathitic morning sickness. I just had to include that. My mom once told me that my dad had suffered it when she was pregnant with me, so I thought it would be fun to add. It also seemed to make sense because Pippin is such an empathitic person.

Thanks again for the comments.

How did I miss this one? Must have been when the ISP from Mordor took over and I couldn't even get online at all for so long!

Wonderful means of getting through this dilemma! Poor Pippin!

Having been through fertility counseling--in our case both my husband and I each had our problems, which added up to only one possible conception that I couldn't retain--I feel with the two of them. Oh, how realistic this is!

Author Reply: Thanks for the comment Larner. Yes, this one has been up here a while, but it is still one of the stories I think about most. I'm actually working on a sequil, but it is not going real well at the moment.:)

I'm glad you found the story realistic. Of all my close friends, I'm almost the only one who "didn't" have fertility problems. I had my best friend in my thoughts when I wrote this.

I think that because I knew so many people facing this situation, I had always thought that Diamond was the one with the problem. The germ of this story had been in my mind since I was in highschool at least. It wasn't until Pippinfan1988 started poking at the bunny that it got written. I couldn't quite figure out the basis of the problem until Easter morning, 2006. All at once in came to me. I'm glad I was here by myself because I blurted out,"It's not Diamond, it him!"; and the story almost wrote itself from there.

Thanks again for reading.

Pippin is suffering from sympathetic morning sickness.... I'm not laughing.... I'm not.... Oh yes I am!

I can see that he wouldn't take the herbs again even for the sake of another baby - but they still might manage an unexpected infant now they don't have to fret about the succession. In fact, the way life goes, most likely as soon as having another kid is really inconvenient, they'll probably have twins!

Author Reply: I couldn't resist the sympathetic morning sickness. If it was going to happen to anyone, it'd happen to poor Pippin.

I am working on an idea for a second story, but it doesn't want to be a happy one like this one was. I'm going to have to see just where the muse leads on that one.

Thanks for reading. I am sorry it took me this long to reply. I was out of town for a week and a half.

Wow. I really don't know what to say to this story, other than congratulations on such a good job dealing in a respectful, thoughtful and sensitive manner with a delicate subject.

Author Reply: Thanks. I wasn't sure how people would feel about this story. I'm glad to know that you felt it was handled well. It was something that had been in my thoughts for a long time. I just couldn't figure out who was having the difficulty, and once I did, well the story just came along.

Thanks again for your very kind words.
