Come on, Estella! *Amor vincit omnia et nos cedamus amori.* (Love conquers all and let us yield to love.) He seems to be getting through to her, but she keeps clamming up again. *Varium et mutabile semper femina.* (Woman is a fickle and changable thing.) Hang in there, Merry!

Whoooooooooooopsss!

I figured it'd have to be something like that. Poor girl -- that hurts like the devil. I liked the comparison with Eowyn, though. Sometimes the bravest thing you can do isn't fight a monster, but simply go on with life.

She REALLY reminds me of myself! That must be why I like her so well. But why, why, WHY is she so stubborn about Merry?! Can't she see how perfect he is for her?

Then again, it took me two years. Hmmm . . .

Keep it up! I'm really enjoying it!

Author Reply: I'm really glad you liked the Eowyn comparison! And you're right about "simply going on with life." Well said. :-)

Hehe, I love it when my readers can identify with a character I'm writing. Makes them seem a bit more real.

Thank you so much! Your reviews are always very encouraging.

*huggles Merry*

He's gonna get through to that girl yet! How adorable!

Keep it coming, I want more, soon!

XOXO

Author Reply: Thanks so much! Hehe, I think the appendix proves that he does eventually get through to her. ;-) But you'll see my interpretation of how he does in the next chapter. I hope it meets your expectations!
