| A time of thought, and a bitter winter indeed for those who had to live through it. Well, well written, Gryffinjack. Author Reply: It truly was a very bitter winter, especially for those whose families were touched by it. It is no wonder that Bilbo turned aside from his Tookish spirit of adventure and clung to the Baggins love of consistency and no change. Thank goodness Gandalf recognised Bilbo's true qualities and pushed him out his front door back toward his Tookish love of adventure. | |
