Love Endures  by Antane 114 Review(s)

Have you, Frodo, Sam, and Jesus teamed up to cause me as much delightful heartbreak as possible? I am being torn by sweet agony here. My favorite line is, ""I thought of my soul and his soul as one soul in two bodies", that's beautiful. Melinyel and this fanfiction!

Author Reply: No, just me, causing all the torment. Glad you are enjoying my stories so much. :)

Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

WOW! This is a spectacular story! So much love and sadness. (sniff, sniff) But has got to be one of the best stories I've ever read. *APPLAUSE* Incredible!

Author Reply: Hantanyel for all your very kind words! So glad you enjoyed!

It's an odd sensation, to be crying and smiling at the same time. "Beautiful" seems rather inadequit. Oh, what a journey this has been, and what a blessed ending! The descriptions of the music were just wonderful! And that reunion of souls must have indeed been something to see! Wow!

Is this the end, then? What happened to Rosie?
God bless,
Galadriel

Author Reply: Hantanyel, ammelda! What else but a blessed ending - or I should say the beginning of eternal life - could Frodo have? :) Yes, that reunion must have been so beautiful. This is the end. As far as Rosie, well, "this tale does not tell". Hopefully, she found another love and had 13 children anyways.

A lovely and gentle ending to this for our dear sweet Bilbo and Frodo.

Author Reply: All's well that ends better. :) Hantanyel, dear harrowcat!

One warning--don't try to tie Eternity to OUR time. God's time isn't ours; ours is linear or cyclical--He sits at the apex, and beyond our understanding of it. Don't worry that this is pre-incarnational--I suspect that our Creator is beyond pre- and post-incarnational concerns. Time is imposed upon the creation in which we move to allow us to structure our understanding of our actions and interactions, but God is capable of existing beyond it.

A sweet story, and a blessed passing for our dear one.

Author Reply: Glad you enjoyed, dear Larner! Blessed indeed. We should be so lucky - hopefully we will be and hear the words he must have heard - Well done, good and faithful servant.

I love this thought -

My beloved child, you have always been and have never been 'just a hobbit'.

And the joy it must bring our Creator when he sees us living to our fullest is so well brought out in this - lovely.

Author Reply: Hantanyel, my dear! I love the idea of hearing God laugh in joy. Imagine how that would sound and feel to hear that!

Yes, the healing is finally taking him, and he can see Sam more clearly and feel him more joyfully.

And it gives purpose to the lady as well. Wonderful!

Author Reply: There is a reason for everything - unfortunately for Celebrian she had to wait a few centuries to find that out - but God's time is not our time and everything we do we must trust has a worth and a purpose in His plan. The Song continues to play even if we don't understand all the tunes. Glad you are enjoying!

Oh, so beautiful, Antane! I love the conversation at the beginning of this chapter especially, and the ending is *so* perfect! Pippin and Merry would be so happy if they knew! What next?
God bless,
Galadriel

Author Reply: Hantanyel, ammelda! As to what next, this tale is not done yet, but you don't actually expect me to tell you more, do you? :) This has been a journey for me too and I can only see a little further than Frodo and not as far as God. I love the idea of walking along with him and discovering how his part in the Song plays out at almost the same rate he does. The Road goes over on and on and Frodo has not reached the end of his yet.

Oh, what you've added is just beautiful! I love it! It gives so much more depth to this chapter and to Frodo and Celebrian's friendship as well. She does understand, and so she can help him--in fact she's probably one of the best to help him. And she is so wise. I love your portrayal of her.

And guess what? You're going to get a fic because you inspired me! :)
God bless,
Galadriel

Author Reply: Hantanyel, ammelda! So glad you enjoyed and even more glad that I (or they) inspired you! :)

Letting go can be almost impossible; but it can be done.
