Once again Thranduil's strength of character and his capacity to love are amazing. You have reflected his character so well.

This world is rich, has depth, and is full of angst and joy, with some awesome battles thrown in. I find myself fully immersed each time I open a story.

Please, please get over your writer's block soon! This story is too masterful not to be finished. Lindoriel's passing was one of the most poignant scenes I have read in fanfiction. You made me feel Thranduil's emptiness and despair, and Legolas's loss not only of his mother, but also of his father's guidance. They need each other. Don't make them keep waiting ;)

Author Reply: Thanks to you, I've resurrected the next chapter! I actually wrote several paragraphs last night, which is sort of a record lately. Stay tuned; I'll try to work on it some more today. :)

"He would never abandon them". Trust DUTY to be able to break into the grief and pull him back to where he was still needed. Sometime after this, when Elladan and Elrohir lose their mother, they lost themselves for a time in revengeful orc hunting. They were, after all, just Imladris's "princes", if you will, not its's primary ruler. Thranduil can not afford to do that. Although, cutting that orc to ribbons must have worked off at least a little frustration! I liked the moment between Thranduil and Celebrian. I think too many people forget that she was Celeborn's daughter, and as such gave to her children threads of several elven lines besides just their own father's Noldor. As such, Arwen was able to leave for her mortal children a heritage from many elven houses.
