Ah Farry. I could so see that scene.

‘Remember? If Mum feels a chill, you must...’

‘Put on a jacket,’ Faramir said with a sigh.

Delightful story, Lin. Happy Mothers Day

Author Reply: Thank you! Happy Mothers Day to you as well.

There was something about this chapter that just felt so right. I'm not sure what it was but it had a comforting, homey feeling to it. Maybe it's that everyone is where they belong and things are finally righting themselves.

I do wonder why Pippin wants to see Rusty. There's probably a hint I missed somewhere.

That last little bit between Pippin and Farry was great. Farry is the true only child. I know that exchange, I've been a part of similar ones but as the child and as the parent. :)

Glad to see an update to this. Looking forward to more, and to other updates as well. :)

Author Reply: If you got the hint, it would be an incredibly subtle one. You might see it in hindsight, but then, I'm not sure I would, either, if I didn't already know what discussion is about to take place.

I do love it when things are coming together, and all the bad times are past, and the celebration's about to start...

Thanks!

Sometimes being a child is a pain when one must follow one's elders' leads in so much, whether or not it is needful or desired.

Author Reply: It would probably be tiresome for Diamond as well, if she were not fully confident that Pippin will fill her in later, when "little ears" are not about, on whatever the secretive "matter of business" might be.
