A Fight With A Dragon  by Antane 6 Review(s)
LarnerReviewed Chapter: 1 on 10/15/2006
Aha! So Bilbo and Frodo have decided to call Sam "Full-wise" instead of Samwise in Elvish, have they? Wonderful! I always loved that Aragorn preferred to call Sam that in the unpublished epilogue, you know.

You did write "craved" instead of "carved," but that's minor. I always notice that reversal when it happens because of a court case I followed where the transcriber of an interrogation made that mistake, and I giggle every time I read it.

But love that Sam would rather fight at Frodo's side than to fight him. Lovely!

Author Reply: Hantanyel, my dear Larner! I've fixed the typo. I thought Full-wise sounded better myself. :)

Balderac, eh? haha! I wondered how long Frodo's patience would hold out getting Sam to pick a sword! lol

Cute, cute!

Author Reply: Thank you, my dear! I think that patience would have held out as long as it needed to, even if killed Frodo to keep all that antsy excitement in him. I can just see him bouncing from foot to foot and doing everything he could to keep from shouting 'Pick already and let's go!' :) And then he has to wait for later for Sam to forget his 'place' and actually have some fun with his brother.

I’d rather be fighting with you, than against you."

Oh yes - right from the very beginning.

Author Reply: Well, of course! :)

Aaawww! Sooo cute! LOL! I love it, Antane! What an adorable plot bunny this proved to be! :) Now I'll have to get the next chapter of EBH up soon so that this will be understood fully. This is just so sweet! *revels in all the fluff* All the love and joy and...well, playacting. Sam really does have much more in him than he shows sometimes. He surprised even me when he'd defeated "Lord Balderac". *grins* It all reminds me of so many happy times with friends and pretend swords. Thank you for a few gentle laughs and a very lovely read!
God bless,
Galadriel

Author Reply: So glad you enjoyed, ammelda! And if this gets you to update EBH all the better!

Sam loved Mr. Frodo’s stories, especially those he lived in himself. They went after their enemy and they fought and defeated it and many others that day. All along they remained side by side. It was much more fun that way and Sam knew there was no other place he’d rather be

What a sweet, playful, adorable story. :D

Author Reply: Hannon le, shirebound! I was hoping you would be reading it when you saw the word fluff. :)
