Four Nights and Three Days  by Antane 7 Review(s)

Your description of the Hobbits learning to pray was beautiful. I had to smile at Pippin's worry that the Creator would become annoyed with him for asking for Frodo recovery too many times. It's a joy to see Sam, Merry, and Pippin learning more about the One who loves them so.

Author Reply: Hannon le! It was an enjoyable chapter to write - I do like brining in the spiritual side of things that is so vital to this story. And Pippin is just so much fun!

Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

That was really sweet about the prayer. Sometimes I think we forget that it really *is* that simple, as long as our hearts are right. hannon le. :)
Im mil le,
God Bless,
Frodo Baggins

Frodo's letter should be arriving now. :)

Author Reply: A belated hannon le, my dear Frodo! I've listened to my young nephews' voices while saying the Rosary and thinking how sweet it must be to God to hear His children's voices raised in prayer. That didn't inspire this chapter but I like the idea of these innocent hobbits learning about their Creator.

Namarie, God bless, Im mil le, Antane :)

Oh, and it gets better! I love what you added to chapter two, and Gandalf's introductions are quite amusing. I love how Pip proves Gandalf's point by spouting off a string of fast talk as soon as he's awake! LOL! And the spiritual part of this is so wonderful; I especially like Elrond teaching the Hobbits how to pray and their being so eager to learn. Beautiful, just beautiful. And you've captured Bilbo's voice perfectly.
God bless,
Galadriel

Author Reply: Hantanyel, ammelda! So glad you enjoyed this tale! Pippin is a dear, isn't he? :)

"All right then, Please make Frodo well again. Thank you," Pippin said fervently ...

"Do you think it worked? Should we say more or louder or anything?"

And that's how Pippin learns to pray! Very nice! I especially liked the addition of "Thank you". What a polite hobbit he is :)

Author Reply: Hannon le! Pippin is fun to write. :)

I am liking this a lot Antane and just love your Pippin!
Just one quibble though - would Elrond be referring to Aragorn as Elessar at this point? I would have thought Estel or Aragorn.

Author Reply: I love him too! Isn't just so cute? I realized my error too late about Estel and changed that as soon as I could - but I knew someone would catch it! Hannon le, my dear, for all your very kind reviews of this and Via. :)

Namarie, God bless, Antane

And so three Hobbits learn to pray. And they wait to see to what Frodo will yet come.

Author Reply: We all have to learn somehow don't we? :) I think Iluvatar was most pleased to hear those prayers.

Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

You would be well informed never to wonder out loud who is most loyal or loves Frodo the most or you’d be in the midst of an argument that could stretch until the world is re-made."

The edges of Elrond’s mouth twitched. "I consider myself forewarned then. I have already seen the most tender love from all of them."

Awwww, this is so sweet and gentle.

Author Reply: A belated but heartfelt hannon le, my dear shirebound! I am so glad you enjoyed. That means so much.

Namarie, God bless, Antane :)
