Neath Anor, Ithil, and Gil  by Larner 5 Review(s)

That's certainly not the frightened Hobbit any longer who once went on an undheard-of adventure with thirteen dwarves and a wizard - back then, Bilbo wasn't that calm about such a display of strength, I think.

A lovely piece; I always enjoyed that bit about the giants and their thunder-games. I liked how you brought out Bilbo's sense of fun.

Author Reply: Am so glad you do, Raksha. That has stayed with me over the years since I first read The Hobbit; it was fun to find a good way to work it into a tale! And Bilbo still has not only a sense of adventure, but of fun as well! Thanks so.

What a lovely idea! Bilbo is far braver than I would be!

Author Reply: Braver, or merely with a good sense of imagination and enjoyment? Although his native Hobbit caution appears to be working well. Heh! Thanks so, Linda!

A neat little story! Sounds like fun. I liked that similar part in The Hobbit and it was nice to remember it from here. Le hannon. :)

Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Author Reply: I, too, always loved that portion of The Hobbit--obviously! Thanks so very much. I'm grateful that Nath's prompt to write a fluffy story about creatures not usually thought of in terms of fluff allowed me to write about the giants.

Bilbo got to see so many wonders! :)

Author Reply: That he did! I've ALWAYS loved the hints given us about the Mountain Giants in The Hobbit! And Nath's request for "unexpected fluff" was such a perfect inspiration for this one!

Thanks so, Shirebound.
