I figured that it would either be Aragorn or Legolas... I really liked this one, it is going onto my faves list. Author Reply: I had the storyteller think that her rescuer was a man, so the real identity would be a surprise. Glad you like the story. I'm honored. Thank you.

a bit bittersweet, but I liked it. At first I thought the man was Legolas and then when she said she moved to gondor I changed my mind and thought... well maybe its Aragorn. But you (or rather, she) quickly dismissed that thought when you said it was not him but the elf. I think if you added someone else to that little group- Aragorn, Legolas, Arwen- than I would undoubtedly think, even for a brief second, that maybe the other guy was her savior. Author Reply: I'm glad you liked it. I had hoped no one would guess the rescuer's identity until I revealed it. I guess I could have added Faramir to the mix and had you guessing even more. Glad it kept you guessing as much as I did. :o) Thank you.

The twists definitely had me confused more than once, but I like it. Author Reply: I hope it was a good kind of confusion. I wanted to surprise everyone. I'm glad you like it. Thanks so much.

You fooled me, though not with who had saved him. I was starting to think that it would not be Aragorn not too far into the story. But what fooled me was never mentioning the sex of the storyteller, I was almost positive it was an old man. But going back I realize you never specifically said anything about a boy or man. You witty author, you! Loved this story. Love all of your stories, though I might not review all the time! ~S Author Reply: Oh, dear. I guess I'm not as witty an author as you think. I mentioned the sex of the storyteller twince in the story, both times near the end. First: "...how could I, in all honesty, expect that he could look at the woman I had become and see the young girl I had once been..." Second: "A few times I would catch his eye, and he would smile at me, though there was still no recognition in his eyes, not even for the woman among the many he had once seen at a crowded festival." I'm glad you enjoyed the story. Thank you very much.

You had me fooled, White Wolf. I was sure it was Aragorn. This OC has a nice "voice" that comes through strongly in this first person story. I like it a lot. Author Reply: That was my intention, as you probably guessed. :o) I'm glad you like my storyteller's manner of telling a tale. Thank you, daw. I'm glad you like it.
