Holy Cow! That was amazing Wordweaver! I don't often read about Celeborn and Galadriel, so I can say that this was just wonderful! I like reading about their love and forgivness.... she can be a bit of a diva beeotch sometimes, can't she? LOL Not that Cel is without his problems, but.... :)

I like that he got her to confess her heart and in so doing, made her truly realize what her motives were. I like that she had to bare her soul to her husband, not really realizing until that very moment that she had, infact hidden part of it from him. He is a wise and loving Lord and Husband, and they truly are worthy of each other.

And you did a more that worthy job in the telling of their story. :)

Author Reply: Thank you so much! Your review made my day. It's wonderful to hear from a reader who really got into my story and relished all the little character nuances I had such fun creating. It makes it all worth the effort. I heartily appreciate the fact that you took the time to share your reactions with me.

Sincerely,
Wordweaver

A most thought-provoking story, and one I read with much interest. I have a hard time personally thinking of Galadriel reduced to such tears; but you have made a convincing case for such a turn.

Author Reply: This is a side of Galadriel that only Celeborn would ever see. I believe that even the strongest women have a deeply rooted fear of being abandoned, and Galadriel has a very justifiable reason to feel that way. She knows that they are locked in a conflict that will ultimately destroy all she has worked for even if the Enemy is defeated. The prospect of persevering in the face of such futility would be exhausting, and the thought of doing it alone would be devastating. She may have manipulated Celeborn and taken him for granted, but in the end we see how much she really needs him.

Thanks for your encouraging review. I'm glad you found my story thought- provoking and that you found Galadriel's crisis convincing, in spite of personal bias.

Sincerely,
Wordweaver

I was very impressed with this as you provide plausible answers to questions I have often asked.Very well written.

Author Reply: Thanks for your encouraging review. These are ideas I've been pondering a long while myself. A chance comment by Peter Jackson that Galadriel, as Arwen's grandmother, would presumably not want her to stay with Aragorn, really got me thinking, because I realized that in Appendix A, Tolkien actually appears to have Galadriel setting them up. The obious question is "Why?" Writing this story helped me figure it out.

Sincerely,
Wordweaver
