| Lovely story! Gandalf loved the Shire and *his* hobbits. So he might have done exactly this: providing Yule presents for little hobbit lads and lasses who believed in him. It was as if the light from both the moon and the sun had brightened his face and the sparks of the stars had made Frodo’s eyes even more luminous than usual.
