Discoveries  by shirebound 14 Review(s)
LarnerReviewed Chapter: 1 on 12/18/2007
Oh, how I can see this happening, Shirebound! Yes, this is so very probable, and would fall right in with my own vision of Frodo as one who always loves to learn and examine the world that Eru has given him.

And they found not only the beauty of snowflakes but of friendship together.

Author Reply: I'm so happy you like this scene. It's so easy for me to visualize the lads out in the snow, discovering magical things together.

Oh, how sweet! I can imagine the two lads' astonishment to discover that no two snowflakes were alike!

Author Reply: I love imagining little, magical moments like this. :)

Grey WondererReviewed Chapter: 1 on 5/27/2007
I've been doing some catch up reading this weekend and I found this. I love the idea of Sam and Frodo and the snowflakes. Elf magic indeed!

Author Reply: I think these two must have shared some very special experiences, to have bonded so closely. Thank you for reading! :)

AntaneReviewed Chapter: 1 on 12/25/2006
A sweet story, shirebound! As much as I love Frodo-angst, FrodoandSam fluff is nice too. :) I'm glad they have these years of memories to sustain them and strengthen them during the dark times and motivate them to continue.

Merry Christmas! Christ is born! Glorify Him!

Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Author Reply: Thank you, Antane. I do love hobbit fluff, as you know! I like peeking in on little happy moments like these.

*holiday hugs*

I remember the first time I had the chance to see a maginfied snowflake. They truly are spectaular to look at and I more than understand Frodo and Sam's excitement over their discovery. What a wonderful little tale to read *very* early on Christmas Morning.

A very Merry Christmas to you my friend and here's to many more wonderful stories to look forward to from you!! (((HUGS)))

Author Reply: Happy Christmas, Tigger! *hobbity holiday hugs for you*

This was adorable, Shirebound. How lovely to be able to see the wonder of a snowflake, and it is gorgeous to see this very special friendship growing.

Happy Hobbit Holidays and Merry (and Pip) Yule to you!

Author Reply: Thank you, dear BB! Happy hobbit holidays to you, as well. May your Yuletide be joyous, warm, safe, and full of everything you love.

What a wonderful discovery indeed! And each snowflake is as unique and magical in its own way, just like Frodo and Sam and their special friendship.

It appeared that friendship -- like magic -- could sometimes be found in the least expected places. You had only to look for it.

~Elemmírë~

p.s. I just wanted to let you know how much I've been enjoying all of these little holiday fics from the holidays LJ you created. They're all so wondeful and help to add to the holiday spirit ... whatever holiday it may be.

Happy Hobbit Days--uh, I mean Holidays, Shirebound! :D

Author Reply: Thank you. And I'm so happy you're enjoying all the holiday fics. It's lovely that so many folks continue to be inspired by our beloved LOTR world, and continues to write -- and share -- their stories. We're so fortunate.

Happy Hobbity Holidays! :D

Oh, so glad to see this made it here at last. For me, my posting tends to start here and then work over to the other sites.

Snowflakes are so beautiful.

Author Reply: Thank you so much. It's been a challenge finding spare moments this week.

Actually, I'd love to have one of those 'Dwarvish magnifying tubes' for myself! :D

Pearl TookReviewed Chapter: 1 on 12/22/2006
Yes, their friendship is as beautiful as the snowflakes :)

Lovely!

Author Reply: Thank you, Pearl. I do love that analogy. :D

Queen GaladrielReviewed Chapter: 1 on 12/22/2006
Aww! Sweet! :)

But the lads'
most enduring discovery that winter turned out to be something more lasting and precious than any fragile snowflake. It appeared that friendship -- like
magic -- could sometimes be found in the least expected places. You had only to look for it.

I love it! :)
God bless,
Galadriel

Author Reply: Thank you. Sweet hobbits... just can't get enough of them!
