I have the biggest smile on my face after reading this! Now I think I know why Eomer is so fearless facing orcs; he had to survive something so much worse (at least to a big brother's mind)! Edlyn Author Reply: Hopefully she didn't make him wear any silly hats, or have conversations with the dolls. :) Thanks!

I do think that Faramir might have eventually forgiven the servants; but I can see him feeling anger when he first learns how they prepared to burn him alive at Denethor's bidding, and that anger might have lasted awhile. Author Reply: I think he would have, too - but I just couldn't see him brushing it off right away as no big deal. He's got every reason there is to be angry. Thanks!

Very perceptive portrait of Eowyn in the form of poetry. I always felt that she could let the warrior within her sleep, but not perish; remain hidden in case of need. Author Reply: I agree; I never felt it was out-of-character for Eowyn to embrace peace and be content with her new life. Thanks!

Little Eomer and puppies - how adorable! I will note, as a dog lover, that the most shy puppy in a litter (particularly a litter where the others are extroverted, as these are) is not always the best choice for a child's pet. But the drabble is charming. Author Reply: I do usually pick the animal which seems to be keeping to itself the most, because I know that the really friendly ones will have no trouble finding an owner. :) Course, I'm usually after cats, too.. Thank you!

I would think that if anyone could gentle a pregnant wife's frazzled nerves and ease her discomfort, it would be Faramir - nice job. Author Reply: He would be the perfect person to have around when you were that miserable and aching, wouldn't he? :) Thanks!

I can find no such well inside me - only a vast desert in which grief echoes. - Beautiful and sad, and to my mind true. I can see Denethor turning more inward, drying up, growing ever more bitter; not that he necessarily started out as Mr. Rogers, but I would think that Finduilas brought out the best in him. Author Reply: Ok, the image of Denethor as Mr. Rogers is the weirdest thing I've thought of in a very long time. :) But yes, he strikes me very much as the kind of person who would bottle everything up and/or deny his feelings, which is never a good thing. Fascinating POV here! Actually, I had a not totally dissimilar idea for a ficlet, awhile ago, so if I ever get it written, I hope you won't think I stole the idea from you. You've got some really unusual pieces here among the usual good bits. Author Reply: Heh, no, I wouldn't think that. I'm all for out-of-the-ordinary POVs! Thank you! I do like to occasionally go with unusual. :)

Ooh; scary-good! They really sounded like giant spiders, eerily smart and communicative, with just the right voice. Poor Bombur; they already had him marked as the tastiest morsel of the batch! Excellent! Author Reply: I often feel sorry for Bombur, and wonder why on earth he ended up in Thorin's party. He doesn't seem like the type that would enjoy such a journey! Thanks!

Heh. Good thing that the Gaffer was wrong. Excellent take on the elder Gamgee's speech pattern. Author Reply: It's strangely easy to get into his head; apparently I have an affinity for somewhat persnickety old Hobbits? :) Thanks!

Cute and funny. Good for Boromir, thinking of having a horn made for Faramir so one day they could have a matching set. Author Reply: Well, he doesn't want Faramir left out, but he sure doesn't want to give up his Horn. :) Thanks!
