'Any peace I can give the son of Gondor is well worth a few moments writing!' I really like that idea, and think that in this story you have given Boromir some peace of mind - and some happiness - before his untimely end. Naughty Hobbits! LOL I have only recently started reading about the 'sons of Gondor', and that due to a friend's writing, but I can see you have quite a lot of tales I will enjoy. Author Reply: Hello! Since the hacking yesterday (4/6/08), I went into my tales to make sure everything was ok. To my surprise, I found this unanswered review. Please forgive me. I hope you have been enjoying the 'sons of Gondor' - they are, IMHO, such wondrous characters. Blessings to you and thank you ever so much for reviewing! I will now go and throw myself into some Orc spit for my stupidity!

*dies laughing* Oh, that was adorable - and goodness knows poor Boromir deserves a bit of happiness before his dreadful end. Author Reply: No... no... no.... he does NOT die! I really think that if Seriende was with the company, he would have lived!!! LOL So much for the 'hands of the King!'

Heehee! Merry and Pippin 8are* being rascals here but I'm glad they were able to bring a little cheer to Boromir at this time. Author Reply: Yikes! I'm trying not to think about what the 'next' part of this tale is... dratted Tolkien for .... well, you know! And yes, I'm glad Boromir had a laugh or two....

Oooh, those nasty hobbits! LOL Poor Boromir. At least he was lessoned by friends and not by enemies. And it's hard to stay mad at our favorite pranksters, isn't it? Author Reply: Pip is such a fun character - and Merry usually gets caught in the cross-fire - but this time, I think the both of them are to blame! Bless them!

A fell smile! *giggles* This is delightful. I love how you weave together lightheartedness and a more serious tone, humor and curiosity, as well as Boromir's frustration evolving into acceptance and understanding. Author Reply: How Boromir ever swallowed his pride during this time - I do not know. And I'm soooo glad you 'caught' that 'fell' smile reference... it tickled me to write it! I do soooo love Boromir! and those two Hobbits.

I just adore Boromir. This was very cute. Author Reply: Thanks Grey Wonderer - though I am a died-in-the-whole Boromir fan... my focus is on his dad at the moment. A dark and dismal tale that is leading towards the War of the Rings... But it was most delightful to write a peaceful, happy moment for the man of Gondor!

That was adorable. It's nice to see that Boromir got at least a little peace of mind in his last couple of days. Author Reply: Thank you so much, French Pony. The whole thought started out with the idea of giving Boromir some peace... and who better to show him the way, without their even realizing it, than his friends!

This was really sweet. I liked how Boromir tries to run interference for the hobbits with somewhat stern and authoritarian Aragorn. I so like Aragorn's reaction here - he's just assumed leadership of the Fellowship for its most dangerous portion of the quest yet, and here are these two hobbits fooling around. I can understand him being somewhat stern; while Boromir's affection for the hobbits and his worry for them are really touching. This made me smile. Author Reply: Glad you are happy with my rendition of Aragorn - I don't write him much, but felt that he had to, this first night out as real leader of the group, try to have SOME discipline! Poor man - ROTFL.... The trip gets only more difficult after this, but I wanted poor Boromir to think that there might be 'some' truth in what the Lady said....
