Wonderful as ever. I can see the glow of the fire and Faramir's eyes brightened by his friends words, because his heart knows them to be the absolute truth... If only this beautiful and brave soul could be unburdened from the memories of his heartless father...

Author Reply: Thank you for your much appreciated review. I'm delighted you could visualise this scene so well.Faramir is indeed a special soul who now has a chance to flourish.

Nice to see a good relationship between Eomer and Faramir. It always bugs me when it is portrayed otherwise. LBJ

What Eomer and Aragorn said to Faramir was just perfect. It's wonderful to see these three begin a new age together.

It must have been at least slightly painful for Faramir to know, as other men's fathers and kinsmen were acclaimed for glorious deeds during the Ring War, that his own father had gone mad and deserted the Stewardship and burned himself alive. Though I think Faramir would manage to cope with it, and move past it, in the beginning, it had to sting a little.

Good attempt to focus on this facet of Denethor's legacy.

Poor Faramir was left a painful legacy by his father. I'm sure he did cope well, but occasions like this must have hurt.

A most wonderful and needed reassurance that Faramir has indeed aided in the recovery of the West from Sauron's great evil. Very good, Linda.
