The calm before the storm...I especially liked this--it could so easily have been Pippin's musing as well: "When they were prisoners of the orcs, Merry couldn't stop worrying about his little cousin the whole time...wondering how much he hurt, if he was hungry, if he had given up hope. He was so grateful that they had remained together for that entire time, as unpleasant an experience as it was." The dog was a nice diversion, and I was glad he was friendly in the end; the wizard was cranky, though! And the pot of glue? That was challenge, indeed! | |
