Varda - the creator of the stars, the creator of the Sun and Moon, and the creator of OCD. I really like this one. I love how Yavanna is fed up with "Scruffy" praising Varda, although she does all the work. Varda only sits back and lets elves and men praise her

I did like moody Yavanna! I especially enjoyed the explanation for the clouds of midges that haunt poor Scruffy! How foolish of him to favour Varda so clearly when he spends all his time in Yavanna's realm! And I loved the sneeze-drenched seed that sprouted to produce the White Tree - she's Aragorn's guardian Valie despite herself! Author Reply: Thanks, Bodkin! she's Aragorn's guardian Valie despite herself!: *grins* This is so true. Silly him for not noticing. ;)

In order to get the line spacing right for this kind of formatting I've had to write things under notepad, and then transfer them over, and do my italicizing on this site.. Love the idea that Yavanna likes her love affairs a bit on the--questionable?--side. And her house sounds fascinating. The idea of the rivalry between the two sisters is fascinating, I must say. Author Reply: I seem to have issues with formatting: normal stuff transfers fine, if it's copied from another web page (no issues, since I post my fics elsewhere as well), but the spacing wouldn't stick. Thanks! I do so love these petty, Greek-god-like Valar. :D

Scruffy? Heeeeeee. Really, really good, and not because of that apt addition to Aragorn's Many Names. I loved the bit about Yavanna dropping the seed that birthed the new White Tree... And Varda was just a little catty, wasn't she. Author Reply: *vbg* Thanks! Like the popular girl in high school, she is.

I saw this elsewhere, I know. Glad you posted it again. Love the finding of Elendil by Isildur. Author Reply: Thanks, Larner! I just posted the second part; I hope you like it too. :)
