>>How dared he? How dared he to summon him to remain as if none of his kin knew what would happen next. Angrod’s face might have mirrored calmness, but he saw the look of righteousness in his eyes before this whelp of Finarfin left the room. There are some great missing scenes between Maedhros and the 'three Cs'. I like your concept of one of them - it brings out the wisdom and talent for building alliances that Maedhros had. I think it's realistic that Caranthir, with his short temper, would be easily won over as well, since that's typically true of people who lose their temper quickly. (Angrod, after all, is the one who ends up holding a grudge here.) Author Reply: Oh yes, I can imagine how angry Angrod will be, especially when in my case, the much-wanted rebuke takes place behind doors. Maedhros cannot risk losing the alliance of his brother over a cousin who's loyalty is uncertain, instead he has a defence of the lands to establish, and the region assigned to Caranthir (besides the fact that it is as far as away from Finarfin's sons as possible) is a very rich one. I hardly write Maedhros or Caranthir, but this one came out better than I thought! Thanks for the review! | |
