This has hit home particularly hard in my case as I am the parent to a recovering addict. I can soo see this!

Another lovely poem about an unlovely thing - warning and guidance for us all. Can I add these two to my website also?

Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Author Reply: You can, my friend. :)
Thanks for the review!

A fascinating look at "coming off" the Ring. It abandoned Gollum, and he could not bear it--sought for It, answered the call of It's Master in hopes he might find It there; felt It enter Moria and followed after It; betrayed Its new bearer in hopes of regaining physical possession of It; fell to and with It in the end. Bilbo, even as gently as he lost It, still felt the need to see It again once he was was reminded Frodo held guardianship of It. And Frodo--once It wakened, who truly knows what It did and said to him, promised him, threatened him? As for Sam--gently touched and yet scarred nonetheless.

And three needed in the end to leave Middle Earth to find surcease from Its call even after Its destruction.

Author Reply: Addiction is dangerous, very...sometimes even the strong have trouble resisting it.
Thank you for your words, Larner. :)
