The Great Hobbiton Race of 1435  by Llinos 11 Review(s)

ROTFL!!!

Well, sometimes the clutch is very important!

"Best get on lad. I should know better than to worry about your Uncle Pippin – he always seems to bounce!"

Sam is right, as always. But that "infernal" machine could have hurt the Thain badly! So, let's see how long it takes Pippin to hurt the machine ;-)

"Most were satisfied that he just fell off."

Marvelous!!!! Hilarious as always :-) :-)

"And Merry, I don't think I'll stop it. I think it will just run over me."

Duh! Ya think so, Pippin? LOL LOL

"I should know better than to worry about your Uncle Pippin – he always seems to bounce!"

A very good quality to possess :-)

I'm loving this, Llinos!!

I am so glad to have found this story as it really gave me a good laugh. Love Sam's thoughtful and clever demeanor contrasted with the impetuous enthusiasm of Merry and Pippin. My favorite line so far, I think, among many: "...they had both grown rather too accustomed to late nights and rising, as Pippin put it, 'at the crack of lunch!..." Thank you!

I still maintain that this is one of the funniest things that I have ever read! I'd quote my favourite bits at you here but that would mean quoting the entire chapter!

I especially liked Pippin's Olympic calibre flip over the engine, Merry's saving his cousin from being chopped into mulch, Faramir's pride in his father's athletic ability, all of the dialogue...all right, I especially liked every bit of it!

I am really looking forward to the rest of the story!

(he always seems to bounce!") LOL He does, doesn't he? Bravo! Poor Merry running after the machine and trying to save Pippin from himself. This was entirely too funny.
(Later reports claimed that the Thain had merely been showing off by executing a double backwards somersault from 10 feet up over the top of the mighty engine.) How very like the Hobbits to turn Pippin's accident into something impressive. I do love they way they tell a story and I love the way that you are telling this one!

I like this story, it's quiet funny but I have one question (not to sound rude) but isn't this story aginst the rules? I have read loads of stuff on this website and loads of it is stuff that I might write, but none of my stuff never gets submitted (alright I get it I suck at puncuitaion, but Im working on it)

You definitely have me giggling full-time, Llinos. Poor Pippin--but Sam's right--the Thain does appear to bounce well!

The race, I fear, is becoming ever more a rout. I wonder when they'll manage to destroy the poor engine?

Thanks for today's laugh!

*L* Pippin and Merry in full action! *L* Well, I wonder if Merry now stays in the drivers position or if he will be giving it back to Pippin. Would be crazy..but than you never know.
