The Great Hobbiton Race of 1435  by Llinos 10 Review(s)

"well, you're driving. It must be your fault.." lol. That's Pippins' logic alright.

Loved the part with the Dandelion song and Sam telling them the rules about picking the grass clippings and getting rid of the dandelions..and Pippin's indignation.

*LOL* Funny chapter! The interaction between Pip and Merry is just great. And Sam.. *G*...oh oh...let us not wait too long to see how it will be going on.

Ah--yes--now the Dandelion Clause!

And Pippin falls on his head, causing no harm as there's nothing there to hurt!

Lovely, lovely!

Oh, I just love this part!
("Are you all right Master Merry?" Matt enquired politely. "Fire and water can be a tricky combination."

"Especially when you throw the Thain into the mix!" Merry's face was a delicate shade of beetroot by now, thanks to a combination of steam and Pippin. "Just a little hot under the collar, I'll live – for the time being anyway!" He looked pointedly at Pippin. )

That is brilliant and was entirely too funny all on its own. It seems to me as if Sam and Merry are getting very serious about the entire business now. But on the other hand, Pippin's singing performance kept the mood light for while. I love the little song.

It will be very hard to wait for more of this one.

Oh! I meant to tell you how much I LOVED Pippin's Dandelion Song! It was so cute!

LOL!! This was brilliant -- as usual! Merry and Pippin had me rolling on the floor laughing. And now Sam is on the war-path...it appears things are "heating up". ;-)

I look forward to each update on this tale! You're another one with an exceptional gift for perfect humour.

I think I have overlooked commenting before but wanted to let you know that I have been reading and enjoying the story. My own silver pennies are on Sam, although I'm afraid his kind-heartedness might do him in. :o)

Ah! Ah! Ah! I had a hunch Sam had a few aces up his sleeves! I'm sure there's still more clauses Merry and Pippin neglected to notice.

Poor cross Merry! I love this line:

I'm not some peripatetic player performing for pennies!

Such alliteration!!

And Pippin's cheerful obliviousness is so funny!

"Right!" Pippin, for all his flamboyance, rarely got offended when the errors of his enthusiasm were pointed out, mostly because it never occurred to him he was being criticised. "Less whistle, Merry, remember that. So can you fix it?"

This is delightful. I've enjoyed a wonderful morning laughing at the antics of the wonderful Thain, Master, and Mayor. The Dandelion song was a treat for me as well as the hobbits audience. I love Pippn's enthusiasm, Merry's cool-headedness despite his exasperation, and Sam's determination, optimism, and mischievous sense of fairness. It does seem, though, that the competition is becoming a bit more heated. I'm looking forward to finding out who will win and how.

I'm feart things won't be landing in the Master and Thain's favor. The song is adorable :-) Is it original?

Good thing Matt knew about the reserve tank ;-)
