What a delightful tale! I thoroughly enjoyed every bit of it. Perhaps I might read more of your story.

*grins* I've just read this whole story through and must say that it has been a long time since I've read such a jolly, funny and entertaining story. Much approval!

A different, but very nice and hilarious story. Very funny that Pip never got to drive again. Hehe. :)

Thank you Llinos for another brilliant story.
I love the long-winded names you came up with, so funny, as ever you've captured the essence of the hobbits.
I look forward with anticipation to your next great endeavour.

I truly loved this story, Llinos! It was very funny in parts, and very edge-of-your seat in others. I especially liked the titles you came up with for your chapters... very creative!

The whole process of going from a 'lawn mower' to a 'fire engine' was inspired, to say the least. You surely come up with some very unique ideas!

Well done!

Loved the final chapter and epilogue. I will never look at a fire engine again without recalling your story. Thank you for a wonderful "ride"!

Poor Pippin--but he had his chance, after all, and look what he did with it?

Glad the whole affair ended as it did. Lovely conclusion.

Bwahahaha! Only Pippin could ask a Wood Elf such a question! Dignified vegecide indeed! Tee-hee! Still I'm glad the new pub wasn't made of anyone they knew!

I loved sensible Sam, after that long-winded name for the contraption, calling it a fire engine! I keep wondering if Pip had to sneak it out when no-one was looking.

This has been a wonderful story and a delightful look at what might have happened if the Industrial Revolution (and perhaps, Valar forbid! the internal combustion engine)came to the Shire. Bravo!

(Matt Hammerstone, "in recognition of his extensive work with our esteemed dwarven colleagues and his exceptional expertise in modifying the new Fire Engine, would be…" (from a purely practical point of view, although this was not actually announced, but generally understood) "…Fire Shirriff in Charge." As Sam announced this there were not only great cheers but quite a few sighs of relief.) Good for Matt! He deserved it and I can certainly see why everyone was relieved by this. I love Merry and Pippin's new titles and the reasons why Pip can't drive the Fire Engine but my favorite part of this bit is Legolas and Pippin discussing where the wood for the Dragon came from and Pippin being relieved that it wasn't anyone they knew!

I enjoyed this very much and so did a certain Rabbit who has read each chapter twice over. He doesn't review but he did want me to let you know that this is his new favorite story in spite of the fact that there are no rabbits in it.

Loved every word!

Awww, poor Pippin, lol. I can imagine him sneaking out one night to take the Engine out for a joy-ride. ;-)

This excellent story has certainly been a joy-ride for me! I have delighted in each and every update, cliffie or not. Perfectly written by an outstanding writer. I shall miss looking forward to new updates to this tale. Yet, whenever I'll be in need of a laugh, I know exactly where to come and get them. :-) Thank you for sharing this most entertaining story!
