ohhh i was looking for a farewell like this and this hit all my emotions. Well done. I loved these last words from Boromir to Faramir esp about Denethor and hoping that Faramir won't fall even if Boromir feels like Denethor won't last the in the war.

A very fitting goodbye between brothers. A friend pointed this one out to me and it made me recall your lovely fictions. I just wanted to let you know that I enjoyed reading this one. I hope you are well.

And that sacrifice is now offered. Alas for Faramir, losing the last of his family in this war, although he will find his family by marriage in it.

Author Reply: It does seem as if Faramir and Eowyn did live happily ever after. Who could not have, with such a King and Queen as friends.

I love your Boromir and Faramir. This brought tears to my eyes.

Author Reply: This was very difficult to write. I have seen someone who I love beyond belief take his own life. How does one live with that? How does one retain their own sanity? Having a brother such as Boromir by his side was a help. What was Faramir left with, once Boromir was gone, but his words of wisdom. Thank you for your support and comments. I am most grateful that Boromir and Faramir ring true, as brothers, for you.

Author Reply: Psst - another chapter of 10,000 years will find it's way here soon! Don't give up hope, Sarasrati!

This is beautiful Agape! I've not had to experience, but have been told by some who have, how incredibly difficult and frightening it is to watch a loved one go mad. I love Boromir telling Faramir to protect himself and not the the madness destroy him as well.

Simply beautiful!!

MEWD :-)

Author Reply: *sobs* - I do so hate what these boys lived through their entire lives. First their mother, then their lands and their people, fellow soldiers and young children, women... all suffering either death or sorrow due to Sauron's evil. Gondor truly suffered. And so did those who tried to keep her safe. Faramir was caught, in the end, but thanks to Pip, was saved... Boromir had to have been very, very happy to discover that his friend saved his brother! He could rest, wherever he was, in peace.
