The sea answered him by splashing her salty sweetness on his lips, a taste so akin to his beloved’s tears that he almost wept for joy. The wind, too, lent her arms, affirming the promise of the approaching reunion as she snaked her way about Elrond’s neck and shoulders. How beautiful. And what a magical reunion that truly must have been. Author Reply: Thanks so much for your comments. I'm glad you enjoyed it, and I certainly enjoyed writing it. Yes, *sigh*, that is one reunion I would have loved to have been privy to.

And may he find the healing he himself needs within her arms. And Galadriel watches and knows that both will find joy in this reunion, her daughter and her daughter's husband, coming to her side after this long separation. Author Reply: It had to be a joyous moment for Galadriel, as well as for Elrond and Celebrian, knowing not only that her daughter was so loved but also that such a wonderful reunion was imminent. Thank you for your comments.

One of the best Elrond goes West I've read. Your descriptions are beautiful, but most especially, Elrond's feelings. I like that Galadriel decided to leave him in peace. Author Reply: Thanks, Agape. I don't usually write anything so along the lines of romance, so this one was something of a change for me (although I do tend to write a lot of introspective vignettes, so in that regard, this one was typical of me!). Glad you enjoyed it, and I'm honored that you think it one of the best Elrond-Goes-West pieces that you've read. I imagine that Galadriel, given her millenia of experience with matters of the heart, had the tact to leave Elrond to his thoughts. But still, I'm sure she found the sight of Elrond longing for his beloved heartwarming. Again, thanks for your kind words. Allee
