How did I not read this earlier? Lots of twins angst, excellent! I was thinking all through that they'd find Elrohir alive, although there was a small part of me thinking you just might be that nasty...

I can guess that just possibly there's more to come (and not just because I read the other reviews).

Author Reply: Hi, Nic! Yes, there's more to come - this is just a small taste. There will be plenty of twins (and Elrond)angst soon.

Poor Elladan - does he really think he will be able to stop worrying and that he will soon be safely home? Danger and trouble seem to follow him... hopefully the dreams are done and he the meaning was just slighty different than what he thought...

Author Reply: Poor Elladan - their journey home won't be as incident-free as he expects. And the dreams are not finished either - but they do have a different meaning than he thinks ... ;-)

Elladan reflected that not the next day, but the day after, they would be safely back in Imladris, and he could finally relax. Why does the phrase "famous last words" come to mind when I read the last part of that sentence? Could it be because I don't entirely trust you to allow Elladan to relax in less than 2 days?

I'm glad Elrohir and the others weren't too seriously hurt. I laughed at how both twins admitted that they knew "the routine" about checking for head injuries and what concussions felt like.

You know what the big question in my mind is right now? Believe it or not, I want to know what's going to happen to all the horses! (I think Elrohir's young admirer in Withypool would like one.)

Another good chapter, Jay.

Author Reply: Famous last words? Yes indeed! I wasn't too sure what to do with the horses - thanks for your suggestion, I'm sure Dacy would love one!

Hmm. Something tells me that the journey back to Imladris won’t be quite as easy as Elladan thinks it’ll be... Hasn’t he at least learned that by now?!

The fight scene was wonderfully written – very vivid. But what were the men thinking, taking on three elves?!

I love cranky Elrohir. He’s really been through the wringer. He’s lucky he’s with two people who care about him so much, although I can see how he wouldn’t appreciate all their “fussing”!

It’s interesting to see Elladan battle with himself about what the visions mean and whether or not he should tell his brother. It’s a heavy burden to bear alone but then, if they are that vague he’d probably just succeed in frightening Elrohir. But they have to mean something, don’t they...?!;)

Author Reply: Yes, poor Elladan has a rude awakening coming. His visions are not over yet. As for the men, they thought they would have no problems - twelve against three would seem like very good odds to them. Their only previous experience of ambushing an elf was Bereth, who was no great shakes as a warrior.

Well, if I were them, I wouldn't relax just yet. Jay undoubtedly has plans for you, sweethearts.

Nice use of detail to create a sense of the muddy setting and the dangerous situation. I was very relieved that none of them was seriously hurt. The men were fools to mess with them.

Author Reply: Oh, yes, I do indeed have plans for them ;) just wait and see!
