I'm certainly glad to see them all back in Imladris. Elladan has truely taken a turn for the worst. It's a good thing that his brother knows him so well and could see that something was gravely amiss. I like the relationship between these two brothers. The twin connection is fascinating. I particularly liked the way you brought full circle Elladan's earlier dream. There is concern that Elladan may not be able to offer his brother comfort and that he might not be there at all. All this time, I think Elladan was thinking that something had happened to Elrohir, but it turned out that it was he who might be lost. I'm glad Elrond is around now and I'm looking forward to the next chapter. Very good, Jay. You maintain the integrity of the story and the quality of your writing. :>)Karen

Author Reply: 'Integrity and quality' - thanks, Karen! I love comments like that. In the latest chapter there's yet another twist on Elladan's dreams, and the twin relationship will be even more significant soon.

The angst was brilliant, you captured Elrohir's misdirected anger and concern brilliant and the gut-wrenching angst with Elladan was supurb.
More please :D

Author Reply: I do like angst. And there's lots more to come. There will also be lots of twin interaction in the next chapters!

I am glad to see them safe in Rivendell, and now we just have to hope that Elrond can figure out the poison. Some sort of neurological toxin by the sounds of it......and things do not sound pleasant for Elladan at all. But perhaps it will be more unpleasant for his family. Nice builiding of tension....

Author Reply: It won't be pleasant for Elladan OR his family for a while. I'm evil. And even when Elrond has worked out what the poison is, their troubles aren't over ...

Now there is a scary ending to the chapter. Legolas's wonderings really jolted me because I hadn't made the connection.

Great job on showing Elladan's gradually deteriorating condition. I was glad the he finally told Elrohir what the matter was, and as it turned out, Elrohir really did have to tell Elrond about the injury while Elladan was unconscious. Nice detail.

Author Reply: Elladan's vision will have even more significance soon. I tried hard to imagine how he would feel as the poison gradually took effect - I'm glad it worked. I got a few odd looks from other members of the family at times!
