Great-grandfather and great-great grandfather, watching the new generation come as the older one fades, and Faramir's memory lives on in his namesakes. So I have the family realize that Eldarion's daughter comes even as her grandmother removes herself from Gondor to find her own way in my own story. Yes, death and birth are but opposite sides of the same coin. Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review. Yes, I wanted to emphasise continuity in the story.

Beautiful, sad, and sensitively written account of my favorite Steward's passing. He was lucky to have such a good friend in Aragorn; but you also conveyed the impression that Faramir was beloved by many. The birth of the great-grandson of Faramir and Aragorn, close upon Faramir's death, is a nice touch. Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review. I know how much you love Faramir,so am pleased this meets with your approval.I agree he was loved by many.
