What a wonderful story!! I love all the characterizations, but especially two grown men who are able to see to the needs of a little girl who believes she has seen a ghost! You built it all up perfectly; I knew they'd do something, but not this absolutely perfect ending! :) Thank you so much for sharing such a great tale!

All's well that ends well; with a very satisfying conclusion to this fine Halloween story.

Aragorn and Faramir thought up a wonderful way to liven up the festivities and exonerate Elbeth without damaging Faramir's own reputation. Eowyn is well-written as a compassionate and fair woman who obviously cares deeply for her niece.

Well-done and very atmospheric.

I love the relationship between Elbeth and Aragorn; they are very comfortable together, though she reveres him as a great king as well as loving him like an uncle.

Nice bit with Faramir helping Aragorn with the ceremonial preparations.

Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review. I enjoy writing scenes for Elbeth and Aragorn.
I'm pleased you liked the scene for Faramir and Aragorn.I wanted to show just how comfortable they are together, like father and son.

Well, Faramir's in a pickle and poor Elbeth is in the doghouse! The plot is thickening and no one is happy.

I hated having to stand still for the dressmaker too when I was a kid; but gowns and most clothes don't fit themselves...

I remembered my own childhood when writing about Elbeth and the pins.

So, that's how Aragorn solved it, then? Nice resolution. And hopefully Elbeth's fears have been eased.

Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review.I'm pleased you liked the resloution.I think Elbeth was more indignant than scared, but she is an unusual child!

I very much enjoyed this story.

P.S. Some malign spirit -- playing tricks on you -- has centered the second chapter!

Okay. So, how are they going to handle this now? Heh!

Author Reply: The complicated tangle will soon be unravelled.

Elbeth is a sensible young lady to go to the one person who might have helped IF it really had been a ghost. The conclusion of this promises to be fun!

I often think that one of the strengths of having Royalty in Britain is the Pomp and Ceremony which we do so very well.

Author Reply: Many thanks for your much appreciated review. Yes,Elbeth is indeed sensible to go to Aragorn.I hope you will like the conclusion.
I agree the royal Pomp and Ceremony is one of BRitain's great strengths.
