| Oh, twin! This was wonderful! I wish I could have bilocated to be with you on Thanksgiving but as you know I was needed by a dear friend of ours yesterday. This was a wonderful Thanksgiving gift. I could hear the hymn so well as I read that I believed I was transported to Arafinwe's hall and listening with the elves as it was sung. And yes, I'm positive the Master of Ceremonies will HAVE to include the hymn in next year's celebration! Hugs! Christine | |

| These are lovely tales...and absolutely seamless to the original. More, please! (Also hoping Glor's still around to see them again before re-assignment, since Fiondil's timeline is a smidge open on his behalf...) As far as just where Glorfindel is at during this time, well... my Valar-muse hasn't told me that yet. And, of course, I have to coordinate with Fiondil, since I'm playing in his back yard. | I am just awed by the Quenya in here. Tell Fiondil that I admire his work in Quenya. He definitely has a talent for it. This was so sweet of them in making a song for their 'Amme.' I just loved this story and hope that you continue writing about Finrod in your 'Second Lives' tale. Your portrayals of Elured and Elurin are the best. Thanks for writing! Author Reply: I'll be sure to pass on your awe and praise for his Quenya work to Fiondil. I had originally intended just to put the English words into the fic, but when I mentioned the adapted hymn, he was immediately volunteered to translate it for me. I, too, am in awe of his skills! I don't think I've ever actually read a fic where Elured and Elurin were main characters before. I hope I can do the elflings justice! Of course, I do have an "in" on the whole thing, as I'm an identical twin myself, and so can get into their mindset pretty well, I think! Thank you for your review! | Ah, it's been a time since we heard from you. A lovely tribute, and so appropriate to the day. Author Reply: I woke up on Thanksgiving morning with the twins and Finrod clammoring in my mind--and I worked on it all day long between helping fix the big dinner, and then while spending time with my friends and family--and I managed to get it posted before the holiday was over for my time zone! I've been writing a fair amount over the last several months but with a new job, and plot bunnies that insist that they are WIPs, I hadn't felt comfortable in posting until now. But I know more or less where the tale of the Sons of Dior is going, and I'm hoping that the muse will be generous! Thanks again for reviewing. I love your fics so much and it humbles me that you would find my work enjoyable. | |
