That argument b/w Thranduil and Legolas was heartbreaking! The emotion of the scene came across very well, and very strongly, because I was getting upset myself! great job! I love this story!

THE BIG FIGHT and it didn't solve a thing. They still are at odds and completely unable to understand each other. Just a simple I love you and things would be much better. The king just doesn't have good anger management skills.
Well Silivren is just a sweetie and has such a good effect on both Legolas and Thranduil. Children can be such a great comfort.
At first Legolas thinks his father is generous, fair and wise in dealing with his people but as time goes on he sees he is also narrow minded, pig headed and obstinate and wants to hear Legolas speak only if his son agrees with him. I would imagine he is still thinking of Legolas as an elfling who has no life skills yet beyond fighting orcs. He doesn't even want his son asking for more information about certain subjects. This makes Legolas feel he will do anything to subdue him and bend him to his father's will.
ANOTHER BIG FIGHT and it made things oh so much worse. Well the almost unforgivable happened and Thranduil has no excuses. He wasn't drunk so what he said was out of sheer rage. He may be sorry but he cannot ever unsay those words. He will try to push the blame onto Legolas if he can. He really is kind of a weinie person.
So for Silivren's sake he will leave after just six short weeks and go to 'Lorien to cool off.
Poor Silivren "Nobody tells me anything."
Poor adar he cannot make the worlds go away.
Poor Legolas having to leave in such turmoil despite Galadriel's word to reconcile or everything will be lost.
Poor Beren his brother is running away again.
Everybody's unhappy.
Now spiders got him. Well at least the spider will be happy. And I know it will work out because we still have about ten chapters to go.
