A Little Nudge Out of the Door  by Jocelyn 1 Review(s)
rgbjReviewed Chapter: 19 on 12/26/2003
I liked the line about Legolas' eyes being closed and he hated it when that happened.
Wood elves do have a reputation don't they? And it must be well earned. At least the Ranger was willing to take a chance on a wood elf and rescue him. Legolas then repays him by kicking him and then passing out.
So now Legolas will get to know men better. Couldn't have a better opportunity than to pal around with the heir to Isildur. And Aragorn will have at least one ally in Mirkwood when this is all over. That will be a helpful thing to have.
Legolas has now begun to think a little more rationally again. But his fear of his father kicks in and he feels he will never be able to go back. All the while blaming himself alone, not admitting his father's part in this decades old misunderstanding.
OPEN REBELLION A lot like the Boston Tea Party. Both sides are gobsmacked at seeing an elf. What a bunch of drunks. Of course water was not always the most hygienic thing to drink in the middle ages so maybe it was the same in middle earth.
So Haloel and Fompran's story is told. Another greedy tyrant. Maybe Legolas will learn what a real greedy tyrant is like. He can then compare what he knows of his father.
Was it kill the elf and capture the Rangers or kill the Rangers and capture the elf? Or was it... never mind.
Well now Legolas is up to his neck in human problems. On to the battle.
