I'll have a phalanx waiting for me at that bridge, I suspect.

My prayers are with you in your loss, and I appreciate the story.

*scraches head* A Phalanx?

Oh Jana! What a beautiful and touching little story this is. I'm an animal lover myself, and it made me cry to read this, as so often your stories do. I am so sorry for the loss of Jill and I am glad that your writing brings you some comfort. I lost my 19 year old kitty right before the trip to Scotland and it is a very heartbreaking experience, I know. I have often thought that there must be a special place for all of God's creatures and I love the poem about the Rainbow Bridge - lovely. You have such a way of finding the true heart of a story and in taking a poem or a faerie tale or myth, and weaving it skillfully into a beautiful tale. Thank you for sharing!
Cathleen

Author Reply: Thank you for that nice review Cathleen! Yes it is good know there is a place like that for al our loved pets. Your cat runs around there now too and plays and maybe he is now friends with my cat Kimba, who knows. :)

Poor Pippin - those first bereavements are so painful.

I am quite sure that all my beloved animals will be waiting for me - I used to be a veterinary nurse and was heavily involved in cat rescue for many years, but the losses never became any easier, but I was always comforted in the knowledge that I will see them again one day.

Author Reply: Thank you for reading Baggins Babe! And it is good to know that other think and feel the same way about their pets.

What a sweet sad story! It's true, we really miss our animal friends when they leave us--we will always grieve for them. But, yes, I love the idea of the Rainbow Bridge, and I am sure that we will one day see all of the pets we have loved.

Author Reply: Thanks Barbara! We will see them again. I am very sure about that. :)

Awww, Golden. Now I can hardly wait to meet with my four special friends when I reach the Rainbow Bridge. You have a wonderful way in making words paint pictures and emotions. Love, Neilia

Author Reply: Thanks Neilia. I also look forward to meet my little ones again, but I also have Maxi, Linus and Line still here with me and probably many more to come. However to believe in such a place and to know the sweeties are well and happy and together makes it easier to say Bye for a time.

suddenly Pippin heard words. He didn´t heard them with his ears, but with his heart.

Oh Golden, what a sweet, sad, loving story. Poor Pip, but he has enough love for Jule's little one. Our own furry loved ones live in our hearts forever.

Author Reply: They do, yes ..forever and ever and ever. Thank you for reading!
