It is indeed a different form of immortality she will know now! Lovely!

Yes, golden and raven hair blowing together in the wind has become a precedent now. Heh!

Now I can see it! Yes, the change to peacetime isn't without its natural drawbacks, of course!

This is a beautiful exploration of as you said the 'first day of the rest of her life'. Nicely done! Author Reply: Thank you. Although we use it a lot around here, I think that the saying is especially apt in this context.

Hee hee! This is fun... I love the bantering and the fade-to-black before it gets too detailed. I can so easily imagine the playful look on the King's face as he declares that today he will "call in sick". A delightful vignette of a happily married King and Queen. Author Reply: Haha! It was really fun to write that one; I'm glad you feel the same as a reader. Thanks for the review.

This is lovely... I like the intertwining of days, Halbarad's birth- and death-day being the same, and then the way you've tied it in with Aragorn's birth- and death-day. I had never really given thought to when Halbarad's birthday might be, but this idea is poignant. I also love how you've written Aragorn's musings. They're wistful, and sad, but not maudlin. I'll be enjoying the picture of Aragorn arriving beyond the Dark Sea, and Halbarad waiting, perhaps a gift in hand. Author Reply: Thank you. The fact that Aragorn died on is birthday has always fascinated me. It somehow completes the cycle of life. I love the idea of Halbarad waiting with a gift. ;)

Oh, This is nice, Vilwarin. It's always a poignant moment and you have captured it well. I particularity like the realisation that she is now a mortal. LBJ Author Reply: Thank you. Yes, it is a very powerful moment. I think that it is difficult to really understand how she feels, leaving behind everything she has ever known - and ever been. It must have been very hard but I like to believe that she was richly rewarded for it.

Very amusing! Yes, the stable is a bit more discrete a place for lovers' kisses than would be the gardens of the Houses of Healing. I would think though, that Imrahil might have ways of knowing what his daughter is up to with the King of Rohan... Author Reply: A yes, that niggling worry. But unsuspecting eyes may miss much - especially when they are occupied otherwise (with whatever he's doing). I have often wondered why Imrahil stayed at Edoras; maybe it really was to watch over his daughter? Thanks for the review.

I know the painting which inspired this. Beautifully done! Author Reply: Oh, thanks. I think the painting is just perfect for the two of them.
