this is one amazing chapter among many- with the hobbits in the beginning, Sam finding out about Faramir and the last bit of dialogue. Masterful story-telling.

I found this story on the MEFA website, and I just have to comment. This story was extraordinarily well written! I enjoyed every moment of it.. even the moments of Faramir's deepest despair. I just had a feeling that he would come back home in the end! I can see why this story won first place in its category... beautifully done!

I am just now catching up on this wonderful tale. Masterfully done, little girl. I loved every sentence. I was reluctant at first to read it as it had other characters in it right from the first, and usually I stick to the Fellowship and a few other characters with brief appearances. I am so glad that I took the time to get hooked and continue reading. A lovely tale indeed.

Hi Helen - This was a very satisfying ending to a great AU story. You convincingly portrayed mental and emotional illness within the framework of 4rth Age Middle Earth without getting too cloying and maudlin. I'm sure everyone would like to have Cirdan and Ranan around to heal our emotional torments! I'm so glad that you gave Faramir a happy ending after all he had been through. - Steff

Wonderful, Helen. I'm glad they didn't rush it too much, but allowed the healing and marriage to progress naturally. And that they returned on the Grey Swan was so appropriate. I noted a few problems with possessives and a couple homonyms, but the language overall was so well handled! Very well done!

A lovely ending to a story I've greatly enjoyed. I especially liked the scenes for Faramir and Aragorn. I do hope you will write more friendship stories for these two in the future. Thank you for a great read.

Absolutely lovely story. My heart broke for Estel... but all's well that ends well. Great job - it was a delight to read. (except for the finger nail chewing!) LOL
