I also wanted to say that its easy to think the elves were flawless and always wise but this shows they are rather human 😄well they are the elder race of a humanlike kind of people after all - and look at the Noldor- pompous -hahaha! They had their "Silmaril-issues" as well. Author Reply: Hello again Marianel It's easy to see the Elves are perfect and wise by the time Lord of the Rings is set. They weren't always so flawless and were as prone to pride and faults as us mortals, especially in the Elder Days. The Noldor had their Silmaril issues. The Teleri and the Falathrim had ship issues. The Dwarves also had issues with shiny things. The only ones without issues seems to be the Vanyar Elves and that's probably because we just don't see enough of them to know their faults. Either that or they don't have any which would make them very boring from a story telling perspective. It's the faults that make characters interesting. Thank-you again for the review. Haleth

By the Valar I laughed so hard reading this story and especially at the lazy Elvander and Cirdan! And the inquisitive little Galador reminds me of my son infact they could be brothers😄Great story and I see them before my eyes. The elves had a sence of humour indeed or -you do hahahahaha! Author Reply: Hello Marianel Children do tend to be very literal and very curious. Mix that with a story-teller like Elvander and it's a recipe for disaster. I must admit that the idea for the story originally came from my husband who has a very weird and wacky sense of humour. Thank-you for the review. Haleth

Well that will teach Alagni to send Galador to Elvander for answers to questions she does not have time to answer! I think I would be a little angry if some one tried to stick me to someones face with pitch! Somebody needs to find Elvander some thing to keep him occupied and out of trouble. Morgoth finds work for idle hands! Lynda Author Reply: Alagni probably should have known better. She was probably annoyed with Elvander for trying to avoid work while everyone else was so busy and figured that this, at least, was a task he wouldn't be able to shirk. I love the saying! Thanks for the review. Haleth

Bwahahahaha! Oh, Haleth, this is laced with your usual trenchant wit. The child is so oblivious of how he and his questions are being foisted off onto the lazy Elvander, who must have thought he was being so clever with his answer! Well done! - Barbara Author Reply: Thanks, Barbara Elvander really thought he was teaching Galador a valuable lesson in the futility of asking impenetrable questions. He probably should have known better. Thanks again.

Mwahahahahahahahahahaahahahahahaha! Oh, my sides hurt! *snorfle* That was so absolutely hysterically funny. :) And the moral of the story is to never tell a literal-minded child a story that you aren't willing to take the consequences for... *giggle* Very well done! Author Reply: Thank-you, Rhyselle My own children have a very finely developed sense of irony. However, much to my father's delight, I was really literal minded as a child and I've never really grown out of it.

Oh Haleth only you could think of this, this was very well written, but I do feel sorry for that elf when Cirdan catches up with him! LOL Very much enjoyed! Author Reply: Thank-you, Elflingimp. I'm glad you enjoyed it. The story was a lot of fun to write, even if it did take almost a year to finish it.

Hilarious! Anyone who has or was an inquisitive child can see themselves. I also think Cirdan's plans for revenge more than fit the situation. Now, what happens next? Thank you for a good way to start my day. Author Reply: Thanks! What happens next? I honestly hadn't thought of that. I imagine Elvander will be spending quite a bit of time occupied by real work, which he won't enjoy at all.
