Ha! More likely than she knows... Thanks for writing!

I love the chemistry between these two!

Author Reply: Thanks. Would this be the type of chemisty that involves a lot of explosions?

"In a state of abject horror, she pictured the rest of her life as one, long, frustrating negotiation with a polite, seemingly naïve, utterly implacable Elf."

ROTFLMAO!! Haleth, I am enjoying this immensely! She's such an endearing, crabby little woman.

Author Reply: Thanks Medea. Poor Haleth. She just wants to be left alone in her bitterness, but no, that was to much to ask. Now she's got this..this...incredibly good looking, pesky Elf dogging her steps (or anticipating them.)

Thank you for this chapter I find it highly amusing that Haleth as she calls herself was out foxed by Inglor, you have made her and him so mysterious as to who and how they came to be, Thankyou for letting us see how they met but darn it I want more, as I always do, they are such good characters they alsmost seem real. Hugs The Imp and Merry Christmas

Author Reply: Thank-you, Elfingimp. I hope your Christmas was merry. Sorry about all of the annoying mystery. There are ideas for a few other stories. I just need to get out the cattle prod of encoouragement and write them properly.

Thanks again and I hope you have a happy and prosperous New Year.

I only discovered Haleth and Inglor on the site a couple of weeks ago, and have so enjoyed both stories about them. They are both such well drawn, and believable, figures.

I'd love to know why the arrow has to go to Cirdan... and whether it is related to the mention of them burning one of his ships. There isn't another story that I've missed somewhere, is there?

Author Reply: Hello and thank-you for reviewing, curiouswombat. There isn't another story that you've missed, but now that you mention it there's another one that could be written.

Thank-you for reviewing.

LOLOL. I really love these two, and the subtle, insidious ways in which you manage to foil Haleth's stubborn attempts at rejecting help. Inglor is like doom, and he is going to be her doom from now on, but I wouldn't mind doom having such a pleasant appearance.

And I love how you manage to convey her deep weariness and yet her stubborn refusal for things to be different. The image of Haleth preparing to go away on her own while at the same time already missing the brief span of companionship and warmth , and that making her lonelinesss even more piercing was very moving.

Sigh. I really hope that this particular muse keeps knocking at your door. I cannot tell you how much I love the stories about these two.

Author Reply: Thank-you, perelleth.

Inglor as Doom. I'm not sure if he's Haleth's Doom as much as he's her Fate. Doom sounds so grim while Fate lets you take your chances.

Yes, she's stubborn. He's equally stubborn; he just expresses it differently.

All the best for the new year.
