While We Dwelt in Fear  by Pearl Took 4 Review(s)

Go, Paladin! Go, Pearl! It’s brilliant how you’ve taken us through the Lockholes, Freddie organizing a rescue party to rescue the “gathered” foodstuff, and--one of my favorites: being a fly on the wall inside the Smials during all this! My absolute favorite is your originality with the Tookish Faerie, Calul I love how you have Paladin and Eglantine experiencing a host of emotions as they run up against so many obstacles–including members of their kin. Wonderful, Pearl! I can’t wait to see where you’ll take us next. :-)

All right! Brave hobbits carrying on in the face of the ruffians!

Oh dear, the Lockholes are becoming a bit crowded, so it seems. Although I think it might do a little good to at least have one another. Fatty is doing well it seems, I hope they do try and expand. I can't see them keeping it all to themselves, although their all is still probably not enough. Poor Paladin, he has a lot to contend with! I'm glad he did have a bit of an outburst, then they see that he means business! Looking forward to more!

Paladin is amazing. You can really see where Pippin (who could have grown up a rather spoiled and lazy) gets his resilience and sense of duty.
