I think I like gray better then blue when it comes to eyes. I liked this story. It's very introspective. Author Reply: Glad to hear you liked it. :) Thanks for reading! ~Cal

"He comes back to me with deeper hurts, his eyes full of tears—not for himself, but for others." *sigh* Beautiful summation of Aragorn, in a single sentence. Author Reply: (I missed this review for a long time. My bad.) This is one of my favorite stories that I wrote. *grin* I was straining to make it work, and it actually did. :) ~Cal

His Undomiel, his daughter, the smaller keeper of his heart and the one he delights to protect, even when she is dependent. Lovely images here. Author Reply: ...the smaller keeper of his heart... True words said. Thanks for reading! ~Cal

AWW!!!! :D So sweet! LOL, Elrond has his hands full with 3 children! Author Reply: *grin* Three children--twins and a daughter--it probably is a handful! ~Cal

I think all fathers love to worry about their children. Elrond in this story is sad, but also hopeful--and this story is like LOTr in the hopeful feeling that no matter how bad things gets there's always hope. Author Reply: I think you hit the nail about hope. All right, maybe I'm thinking to much about the scene in which Aragorn says "There is always hope," but--it's true. Had none of the people had hope, they wouldn't have gotten very far. ~Cal

Cute! Very cute. Too bad it won't last forever... Author Reply: Indeed--too bad. A part of me wishes Elrond and Arwen could've stayed together, but then there wouldn't be the wonderful Aragorn/Arwen. ~Cal

Elrond had better enjoy it while it lasts. He won't be able to kiss way her fears forever. Author Reply: Indeed, he should. I think all fathers wish such times never end... Thank you for reading. :) ~Cal

This is really lovely. I particularly like the picture of Estel as a child with a wooden sword, whirling with determination. Author Reply: It certainly would be something interesting to see. :) I'm still hoping Estel makes a cameo in the Hobbit movie... ~Cal

Sweet and then bittersweet - the games that are no longer fun and no longer games, the hurts that are first ignored and then understood not be weaknesses, the pain not for oneself but for others. Lots to learn from here. Namarie, God bless, Antane :)
