A Price above Rubies  by Linda Hoyland 7 Review(s)

That was cute, fun idea; Anduril as a teething ring! Goodness, but I can understand why it was worth a moment of silence. I like how "rubies" was interwoven throughout.

Linda, that was such a sweet and funny story. Poor Aragorn, first he's so harassed that he allows his daughter to chew the hilt of his beloved Andúril, and then such a horrible worry. I'm glad Arwen relented, and let him join her again.

My favourite bit though is the part were he's engrossed in telling Eldarion about his exploits. That sounded so true to life.

A most enjoyable story.

Oh dear, the perils of being named after two warriors! I enjoyed this Linda.

Alas, how the mighty have fallen - Aragorn, the greatest huntsman/King/warrior/etc. in Middle-earth, undone by a fretful teething baby!

Seriously, a charming, funny and heart-warming story.

The poor baby! And such silly worries to share for the night. Am glad that the stone was found and all was well after all.

Author Reply: Thank you. I wanted to show that even our beloved King nd Queen can be very human at times!

LMAO. The lovely image of Aragorn soothing his daughter by allowing her to teethe on Anduril is surpassed only by the hysterically funny one of him being forced to perform poo patrol for the next two days. Glad to find that it didn't come to that after all. A really sweet and humorous story, Linda.

Poor royal parents, having as much trouble and anxiety over fretful babies as any other parents! :)

Author Reply: Thank you,it seems sometimes being royal does not help, save the baby might have swallowed a ruby instead of a penny!
