The healing of Nerdanel. What an absolutely beautiful ficlet. Thanks for writing it. Author Reply: Thank you for your wonderful review! I have been immensely late with replying to reviews due to RL circumstances, but thank you for taking your time for reading and letting me know how much you liked it!

This story held my heart's sorrow to the end. I often wondered if Nerdanel actually beheld the jewels, her husband's mistresses. When I ponder seven sons giving their honor and lives for them, I grieve with their mother...such a waste of precious life. I am so glad Maglor made up for some of their folly with his care of Elrond and Elros. *sigh* I am glad this was nominated for the 2008 MEFA. Love, Neilia Author Reply: Thanks Nelia, I just finished writing another short work featuring Nerdanel once more. It must have been so hard for Nerdanel to leave a man she loved so much and the bitter consequence that all of her sons left with their father. I cannot imagine that she hated her husband, but that for her own sake, she had to let go. Thanks so much for your kind review and please accept my apologies for my late review reply, RL got very muchly in the way for me!

A fine portrait of Nerdanel trying to emotionally distance herself from Feanor. We see her strength and resolve warring between the love she still feels, despite her best intentions. I liked Mahtan's appearance at the end - at least, after Feanor and their sons leave, Nerdanel will not be alone. Author Reply: Oh yes, I am so glad that her father will be at her side, given that she will lose her husband and her sons to this mad oath of theirs. Thanks for your wonderful review, I am so happy to read that this piece resounded so well with you!

Alas for Nerdanel, who lost so much. May she find her peace. Well done, Rhapsody. Author Reply: Thank you Larner!
