Faramir is a brave man indeed to wager with the greatest hunter of the Third Age! I'm now looking forward to the inevitable disaster. A most enjoyable read.

That was a delightful review, Ainu. It brought a smile to my face. I see Aragorn is a veritable diplomat: the tells the guard and delegates for Faramir the mission of handling Éowyn and Arwen.

Author Reply: Thanks Estelcontar for your kind words. And Aragorn, of course, values his wellbeing well enough to avoid the impossible task ;)

Very promising! I love the wives wagering on how messed up this whole trip is going to get.

Author Reply: Thanks. I like poking fun at the fact that so many authors have the heroes get into trouble, but the womenfolk are quite aware of it ;)

An enjoyable beginning.I'm looking forward to seeing what happens next.

This sounds a trifle awkward and may be left over from your first version? "Aragorn had been raised to be a tactician and a leader; his foster father was sure to see to it."

It is good to see my favourite characters together.

Author Reply: Thanks, Linda.

I believe it is left over from the original, though I have yet to figure out how to reword it to make it sound less awkward.
