Chicks and Ducks and Sheep better scurry...  by Grey Wonderer 35 Review(s)
GamgeeFestReviewed Chapter: 1 on 11/24/2008
This one is full of gems, but this is my favorite:

“There’s its head!” Pippin shouted. “My baby has a head!”

“It’s a miracle!” Merry shouted

LOL! Leave it to Merry to make light of the beautiful miracle of sheep being born. I think he'll feel differently when it's his own children. ;)

Author Reply: LOL I just hope none of Merry's childern are sheep. hehehe (I couldn't resist.)
"Merry had a little lamb, little lamb..."

So glad you enjoyed it. I don't know how accurate my 'birth of a sheep' is because I have never seen that miracle but I was certain that Pippin would have seen it early on, living on a farm. Thanks for the review!

Sweet story! Love Pippin! :) And Merry of course. I'm completely obsessed too. :)

Namarie, God bless, Antane :)

Author Reply: Thank you for reading and reviewing. I am glad to know that others are obsessed too. Things are more fun that way!

Just the thing to bring a nice smile to my face! You write terrific stuff!

Jeodo

Author Reply: Hello! I hadn't seen you about in ages. Good to hear from you and all that. So very glad that you enjoyed this one and I do love it when people smile.

Thank you! I still hold out hope that you'll get inspired and find the time to write something hobbity again. I love your stories.

All together now: Awwwwwwwwwwwww!

I'm just glad the lamb got born, without Pippin getting in the way! LOL!

Very cute story, GW.....

- Barbara

Author Reply: Thank you. You didn't see Waldo in this bit? Oh, well. Sometimes he hides quite excellently. Thank you so much for reading and reviewing. I'm glad you enjoyed it.

ROTFLMAO!

*wipes tears of laughter from eyes*

Oh, GW, this encounter with your therapist was soooo therapeutic.... for me! *laughs some more*

You gave me my hearty laugh for the day, and I thank you for it!

- Barbara, grinning like an idiot

*psst! Waldo's lurking in the last line of the first paragraph....*

*giggles helplessly*

Author Reply: LOL
Now this is what I like to see, a happy reader! Looks like my therapy did you more good than it did me. And you found Waldo! No one else has found him or if they did, they didn't bother to tell me. You have a very sharp eye there.

Thank you for giggling helplessly. I like that in people!

Author Reply: I fixed 'recommend' by turning it into 'recommended'. Thanks for finding Waldo for me!

Oh good grief! You had me rolling in the aisles as I read this.... extremely funny... but especially the A/N! Good grief - someone hide this from Hammerstein, never mind the Tolkiens!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Author Reply: Oh, I am so glad you enjoyed it. I love it when people laugh while reading and rolling in the aisles is an extra bonus. Thank you and I really do hope no one tells Hammerstein. Tolkien must be used to this sort of thing by now but I am guessing that Hammerstein might be seriously ticked off! hehehe

Good grief - Send that therapist some lembas and mirovur... Should take the nasty taste from his/her mouth!

Delightful tale... er, apologia... er, disclaimer!

Author Reply: I will take your suggest up with the next Elf I find and see if I can get some lembas and mirovur for the therapist! LOL
Thanks for reviewing! I hope the cat is well.

“There’s its head!” Pippin shouted. “My baby has a head!”

“It’s a miracle!” Merry shouted and Paladin and Pimpernel glared at him.

Merry shrugged.

LOL!!! Merry is great! "Miracle" would have been a nice (and appropriate) name for the sheep, too.

Pippin is a very bright lad for his age. He has already started to learn the rules of diplomacy.

And to tell you the truth, I prefer Pervinca's answers, too, because she really thinks about them and not just calls everything she can not explain "a miracle".

P.S.: You should migrate to the Tooklands. I've heard that they have lots of sheep ;-)

Author Reply: I enjoy writing from Merry's point of view for some reason. Maybe that's why I write him rather cheeky. hehehe

Miracle would really have been the perfect name for the sheep, especially since it had a head and everything, if it weren't for the fact that I had written a story about a pet sheep named Dumpling once upon a time for one of Marigold's lovely Challenges. I plan to post that one here in the near future. I think most folks have read it but it sort of goes with all of this nonsense.

I also like Pervinca's answers better. They may not be completely correct but she is trying.

I might do well as a shepherd in the Tooklands...I might even be willing to marry into the Took family if asked. : )

ROTFL!!!

Don't say you never write something original. For this "hidden disclaimer" IS original! I loved it :)

And (as I may have pointed out before): What would a story be without SHEEP (and hobbits) :-D

Author Reply: I may have to concede that the 'hidden disclaimer' might be new ground in fan fiction at that. LOL
I am very glad you liked it and it is very satisfying to find a reader that knows that entertainment value of sheep and hobbits! Thanks for reading!
