Lovely! Isumbras had no idea that his sister would continue to incline toward her love, and now Buckland will be twice as blessed, for the Oldbuck/Brandybucks will continue to interbreed with the Tooks, and all will in time be in amity again soon enough.

What an intriguing set of vignettes! I too have often been fascinated by the decision of Gorhendad to colonize Buckland, and change the family name--you tell us just enough to understand the motives. But I find myself wondering about the untold parts! What happened between Gorhendad and his friend Isumbras? How did he supposedly disgrace the family? Very very interesting! |
