Wow! I hope you continue. I have always rejoiced that the twins could stay. I fancied that they saw Arwen to her death and then left.

This is just perfect! :) I have scribbled bits about the twin Peredhil choosing to go, or choosing to stay, and even one where one chooses Valinor and the other chooses Middle-earth... but nothing that I'm satisfied with enough to post anywhere. But I've never before seen the decision point handled in quite this way before, and I truly love it!

After recently helping my mother move house, after 32 years in one home, I can really relate to El2 trying to decide what to take and what to leave! I can also almost imagine what sort of "stuff" collected in the Last Homely House after several thousand years! I'm glad they at least decided that they would go or stay together. That was most important, I think, that they could support each other no matter what the decision at the end. A very satisfying fic!

What a decision to have to make, imortality or death, one would have to find a compelling reason for both! Lynda

Great story. What to do, stay or go. Glad that they are staying together and don't have to make a choice yet.

I've always rejoiced for Arwen's sake they were allowed to remain for a time. Excellent.

What a great twin fic! I really like the way you show how torn they both are between the two choices - and especially Elrohir's decision that he will choose with Elladan. Whatever happens, they would stay together. Tolkien tells us that the twins 'delayed their choice for a while', so I believe that they stayed with Aragorn and Arwen to the end - and saw their grandchildren - but still sailed at last. Together. I@m not a fan of the twins but I greatly enjoyed this.I am glad we do not have to make such a choice.Valinor is as final as death,it seems.

Oh My Gosh! They sound just like me at times! (Are they Aries by any chance?...indecision is one of my major characteristics!) Should I or shouldn't I? Their anxiety sure is contagious.

I can feel the tension of the clock ticking down. Almost as if to an execution. It would be a horrible last night to spend in one's home, dreading the decision that has to be made in the morning. It was a mercy that they got a reprieve.
