| The perfect ending for this tale. There was only one conception in our marriage, between a tilted uterus on one side and a low sperm count on the other. The doctors told us it was a miracle that there was a conception at all, but that it went to a spontaneous abortion was inevitable. We couldn't blame one another, but I can understand Diamond's grief at the return of her periods month after month. Relaxing her resentment was the real reason for this gift to the two of them and their whole family. Now to read the new story! | |

| Nicely done! Very tender moments between Pippin and his bride, and well written. I do hope they are successful once more, but we shall see, eh? Author Reply: Warning, this gets very depressing before it starts to get marginally better. Thank God I finally started the third story. :) | |

| Bravo, Garnet, Bravo!! I'm weak I know, but I'm so glad you gave this a happy ending. I don't know that I could have handled it if you hadn't. As it is this is wonderfully realistic and very well written. I will say again that you have handled a delicate subject with tact and grace. Most Excellently Well Done! Author Reply: Thank you so much, Pearl. I almost didn't give it a happy ending, but I couldn't leave poor Pippin in such a mierable spot. I also like Diamond and didn't want her to come off like a totally self-centered brat. There is one thing that still needs worked out between them and I have that written, but it has decided that it wants to be a longer story with an interesting twist. I'll post it as soon as it's done. I hope it doesn't take two years to finish like this one did.:) | |

| It's no surprise! Yes, I think there was joy that birthday on Tol Eressëa on that September 22! A former Wizard and a Vala or two were undoubtedly involved, I'd think! Loved this story. As the perpetual Second Mum I could so appreciate Diamond's feelings, even if mine never went quite as far as hers did. And a perfect name for her. Author Reply: Oh, thank you so much, Larner. I was not sure about posting this story here because of the subject matter and the more intimate moments. You have made me glad that I did. I think Pippin does have a special place in the hearts of certain Powers and they may just have had a hand in this particular birth. Thank you again for reading and commenting. | |

| It took her a while to get past the hurt and self-pity, but I think it was worth it. Poor Pippin--he's truly been through it! Author Reply: She's not totally past it, but she has started trying anyway. I think this will haunt him for the rest of his life. He really wants to all things to his wife; friend, lover, provider, protector, the whole thing, and here he is unable to be one of those things. That is a very disturbing and distracting thing for him. Just the epilogue left. I hope you like it.:) Thanks for reading and giving encouragement. | |

I hope the ending goes over well. I think my short story that I was working on as another follow-up to this may be growing into something longer. A plot bunny bit me on the way to work the other morning and I'll have to see if I can make it evolve into something. | |

| Just read these Chapters and I like them very much. Till Chapter 2 I had so much hope it would work with the child...I thought maybe they get twins. I mean The Thains tookish twins sounds nice *g* and today, when people get children with help ( well hormones) its also often more then one child. But now I read this last chapter and am all teary! Poor Diamond, but more so..poop poor poor Pippin! *sobs* Dont tell Pearl that I said that ;) I SO HOPE there will be a Happy End for the two...and a baby. Looking forward to read more. Golden Author Reply: Yeah, it does seem that usually when people have trouble having children and they use hormones and such, they get twin, triplet, etc. Unfortunately, this time it is Pippin with the problem and not Diamond. Even now there isn't a whole lot that can be done for the male side of the problem. I will warn you that the rest of the ride is as bumpy as the first part.:) Also it looks like there will be a follow-up story to this one. | |
