I can't believe I didn't leave a review for this. Forgive me!! This is SUCH a wonderful story, it beggars my entire vocabulary for enough words of praise to describe what it means to me. I adore Celeborn anyway, and to see him as an Elfling, oh WOW, what a cool thing... and he's so gutsy!! Laying in wait for a Vala, for heaven's sake, and remembering to bring an apple for the fabled horse!!! Oh, that's just wonderful, that is.... You make Celeborn entirely plausible as a child (hey, the greatest of them were children once...) and Orome and his horse are both entirely approachable as characters, all while retaining their essential person-ness (horse-ness?) as characters, true to Tolkien's universe and worldview (at least in my opinion!). The story is excellently crafted, as are all your stories, and the entirety of it is just superb. Thank you SO much for such a lovely piece of work!!

Oooh! Another of my favorites finds its way to SoA. YAY! I love this one! I love how it showed the strength of character in wee Celeborn that makes him such a powerful force in ME. I love that it shows his devotion to ME and the foreshadowing of his decision to stay in ME even after Galadriel leaves. I LOVE that he challenges Tauron to stay with the elves instead of insisting the elves go to Valinor. (I've oft thought, when pondering the silm, that many of the woes of both ME and the Eldar stemmed from the Valar calling them to Valinor.) And I love that he brought an apple to Nahar. Excellent piece! Thanks for posting it. :D
