Oh, Nana is right. That is perfect. What a sweetie. And one who's being raised right too. Good for firm loving parents. Author Reply: Yes, what a sweetie! I really enjoyed trying to find the right note to hit with the little Prince in this story - he was ticked off, but still wanted to do something special for his naneth on her special day (after all, he wanted it to be PERFECT for her). So showing his little temper fit, along with Ada's dealing with it (by reminding his son that he is the heir - a Prince of his father's realm - and should behave accordingly, no matter what) and then balancing that with the little private party he planned I hoped would show both sides. He did turn out to be a little charmer, too...learned that at his Adar's knee! Thank you, daw! I do enjoy your reviews! linda

Fluff, but perfect fluff. These little glimpses into the early life of Legolas and his Ada are a real treat and they allow us to see why and how he became the elf we know in adult life But it is the little things that delight so much, the repetition of the 'no running' rule and the threat of an 'Ada punishment' which if I recall was according to Legolas always worse than that of his mother and to be avoided at all costs. As for his love for his naneth and the way he chose to show it, well I suspect I was not the only one reaching for the tissues! An absolute delight Author Reply: Oh!! *claps hands wildly for thechevin* You remembered! Yes, an 'Ada punishment' is to be avoided if at all possible, and as you can see here, Legolas is learning that lesson at an early age. I couldn't think of anything more PERFECT (the prompt) than an elfling!Legolas planning a special party for his Nana on her special day, all by himself. Just melted my heart, it did! :-) Thank you for the delightful review - I do appreciate them so much! linda

Ah this was lovely and showed the great love the Fellowship had both for each other and their wider group of friends and it was nice to see Pippin and Merry finding something to help 'Strider' on this particular day Thanks Author Reply: Hey, thechevin! I guess Pip and Merry could cheer anyone up, given half a chance! And they wanted to help 'Strider' get past his grief somehow. I'm glad you enjoyed the story. Thank you for the kind review. linda

Ah, so sweet a begetting day! Love the child! Author Reply: Thank you, Larner. Isn't he a sweetie? And such a proper little elfling, too! I really enjoyed thinking of a way he could make his Nana's day PERFECT, especially if he wasn't able to attend the whole party! Thanks again for the review - I appreciate you taking the time! linda

That was a beautiful story and a worthy remembrance of Halbarad. He is seldom mentioned in fanfiction after his death and I loved that you showed us how much Aragorn grieved for him. Merry and Pippin's idea was perfect - I believe there is no better way to overcome grief than to remember all the good times you had with your friend, and having all your other friends around you while doing so makes it even better. :) Almut Author Reply: I have always thought Aragorn and Halbarad might have been related - anyway, that's the way I've always seen them, which makes his death even more devastating to Aragorn. Leave it to Merry and Pip to find the perfect way to honor Halbarad and help Aragorn with his grief, all in one go and in the company of friends, too! Thank you, Almut. I'm glad you enjoyed the story. linda

This was very moving.I'm sure Aragorn did miss Halbarad.Thank Goodness for Merry and Pippin. Author Reply: Merry and Pip just seem to be the right ones to think of the perfect way to not only honor Halbarad, but to do it in such a way that Aragorn is comforted at the same time. Thank you for the review, Linda. I'm glad you enjoyed the story. linda

I loved your OCs here.Their suspicion was all too true to life. Author Reply: It seemed to me that the people of Gondor were out of touch, so to speak, with the elves. And they were SO different...a sure thing to cause suspicion among the general populace. I did like Conn, though...he's just rather intimidated by everything about the elves. I'm glad you enjoyed the story, Linda. Thanks for the review. linda

Aragorn is so glad to see Halbarad in ROTK, so they had to have been close, it seems to me. This was lovely. And the hobbits are their generous selves. Author Reply: Thank you, daw. Merry and Pip just seemed to me to be the right sort to plan something that would not only honor Halbarad, but also comfort Aragorn in his grief. They are a generous pair, aren't they? Thanks again for the review. linda

Ah! Excellent reason for visiting the Rath Dinen, then, on this day. And the Hobbits are visiting as well as plotting as much to lighten Aragorn's mood as they did to lighten Frodo's. That is wonderful! And this innkeeper can't quite make himself believe he's actually entertaining the King! How expectations for royalty help in the end to allow for a level of anonymity! Nice, Linda. Author Reply: They are just a good pair of Hobbits, aren't they? Generous and caring and concerned...and more than willing to do something about Aragorn to lift his spirit and help him remember the GOOD times with Halbarad. Ah, yes...the innkeeper. Well, he just couldn't quite put it all together, bless him! But he still kept his head and helped make the party a rousing success! Thank you for the kind review, Larner. I'm glad you enjoyed the story! linda
